30 SENATORS APPOINTED BY PRESIDENT PAUL BIYA

 

Paul Biya has demonstrated his consistent consistency. He is not a man of surprises in substance , even though he could be in form.


The most remarkable "remontada" or come back is that of Marcel Niat Njifenji, the current Senate Primus Inter Parés , who had wrongly  been sent on an anticipatory  parliamentary retirement, by a segment of public opinion, now to their chagrin.


With this  decree, sanctioning the appointment of Senators, the President of Cameroon now legally becomes "functus officio".


The ball now falls in the court of another person. That is, the National Chairman of the CPDM. Who then becomes the next President of the Third Senate? Going by well established antecedents and by virtue of the current political  configuration and the facts on the table, your guess...is as good as mine.
