Global Diabetes Initiative: Empowering Communities through Free Screenings and Support

  In an effort to combat the growing epidemic of diabetes and high blood pressure, the Global Diabetes Initiative (GDI), UK, US and Cameroon based NGO this Thursday November 16th 2023 organized a free screening event that successfully reached over 200 individuals. This event aimed to detect and provide necessary support to those living with diabetes, while also fostering awareness within the local community. Alongside the screenings, the association distributed free medication to patients in need. The free screening organized by Global Diabetes Initiative served as a critical step in identifying individuals at risk or already living with diabetes and high blood pressure. More than 200 people came forward to avail of this opportunity and receive a comprehensive examination.
